1. Honorary representation and ceremonial heading in the University.

2. Presiding  over the academic year opening ceremonies of the University.

3. Presiding over the graduation ceremonies;

4. Awarding  academic titles, award merits and excellence titles;

5. Attending other events or meetings when appropriate;

6. Highest political decision Making on University's businesses;

7. To delegate Pro Chancellor or CEO on the same responsibilities when necessary.

8. To appoint Pro chancellor, CEO, Vice Chancellor and Deputy Vice Chancellors and Director of RWU.
